Home-Delivered Meals Eligibility for home-delivered meals is based on one criteria–clients must be “home-bound” (unable to leave home without the assistance of another person). There is no age restriction nor income criteria to be eligible. Prospective clients under the age of 60 must have a doctor’s statement certifying them as home-bound or must be disabled and involved with independent services/private payment accounts. Home-delivered meals are considered “heart healthy” and will be delivered by volunteers between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each weekday. Clients will pay for their meals based upon a sliding scale. Meals on Wheels provides a hot nutritious noon meals and a daily safety check for participants. Special diets are available – i.e. diabetic, renal, and mechanical soft.
Weekly delivery of frozen meals is also available to prospective clients who reside outside of the regular delivery area.
